Vice President, Real Estate
Joe has been in the commercial real estate industry for nearly 15 years and currently serves as the Vice President of Real Estate at Santikos Real Estate Services. His responsibilities include oversite of departmental operations, development initiatives, 3rd party investments, acquisitions/dispositions and facilities management.
Prior to joining Santikos, Joe worked at CST Brands, a publicly traded fuel and convenience store retailer, in their corporate real estate group. After graduating from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, Joe started his career as a commercial real estate appraiser and holds a State Appraiser License. Joe also received his MBA in Real Estate Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Joe has been an active member of the Real Estate Council of San Antonio, participating in the 2015 Leadership Development Program. He is a member of the International Council for Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Director of Real Estate
Lucio J. Cantu, CCIM joined Santikos in 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Real Estate. Lucio is responsible for overseeing and managing the full lifecycle of the organization’s real estate portfolio including strategy development, property acquisition, development, leasing, management, and property disposition.
Lucio brings over 20 years of commercial real experience in the San Antonio and surrounding Texas markets. He is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University with a BBA in Management. He earned his CCIM designation in 2007 and served as President of the San Antonio/South Texas CCIM Chapter in 2016. Lucio is a native of San Antonio and is married with two children.
Senior Asset Manager
Caron joined Santikos Real Estate in 2017 and currently serves as the Senior Asset Manager. In this role, she oversees the company’s 650,000-square-foot portfolio, driving the maximization of asset value and performance. Caron is responsible for planning, directing, and managing capital expense projects while playing a crucial role in strategic asset planning, financial analysis, and the execution of value-add initiatives. These efforts are focused on enhancing the profitability, efficiency, and appeal of each property within the portfolio.
A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Caron earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with a concentration in Latino Media Studies. With over 9 years of experience in commercial real estate, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her position.
Director of Real Estate Development
Daniel joined the Santikos Real Estate Group in 2023 and currently serves as the Director of Real Estate Development. In this role, he spearheads various development initiatives to produce sustainable growth within the real estate portfolio. His focus includes identifying development opportunities, managing project execution, and collaborating with various stakeholders to continue the company’s legacy.
Prior to joining Santikos, Daniel served as a Naval Flight Officer in the U.S. Navy. While in service, he participated in a Department of Defense SkillBridge Program as an intern with Santikos, gaining valuable real estate experience as a transitioning service member.
Daniel holds a bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from Baylor University.
Senior Property Manager
Laura Serna joined Santikos in 2022 and currently serves as the Senior Property Manager. She brings with her over 5 years of experience in office, retail, medical, and industrial management. Laura is responsible for day-to-day management of Santikos’ commercial portfolio. Her responsibilities as a Senior Property Manager include fostering tenant and vendor relations, building operations, tenant improvement, and construction. Laura remains actively engaged in professional organizations such as IREM San Antonio and BOMA San Antonio, demonstrating her dedication to staying current with industry best practices and fostering connections within the real estate community.
Property Manager II
Rebecca Massey is a Property Manager for Santikos Real Estate Services where she coordinates daily operations and helps foster the landlord-tenant relationship. Prior to joining Santikos in 2016, Rebecca began her commercial real estate career in 2013 with Thomas Land & Development as an Administrative Assistant at The RIM Shopping Center in San Antonio, Texas.
In early 2014, Hines Global REIT acquired The RIM and awarded Rebecca the opportunity to remain on-site as the accustomed Administrative Assistant. Rebecca holds a MBA in Project Management from Texas A&M University- San Antonio and a BBA in Finance from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas.
Accounting Lease II
Christine has been working in the residential and commercial real estate industry for nearly 35 years. She joined Santikos in 2016 and currently serves as the Accounting Lead for the Santikos Real Estate Services team.
Christine holds a BBA in Accounting and Management from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin. Prior to joining the Santikos team Christine was a Property Accountant for First American Properties, LLC a Chicago based Real Estate Investment Company.
